  5. Anatolia is Pentagram's (a.k.a. Mezarkabul outside of Turkey) 3rd album, and so far has been the one and only landmark heavy metal album in Turkey released by any band. The album was released 5 years after the 's "Trail Blazer"; which had more speed metal elements combined with western melodies.

  6. Five years after that awkwardly charming Trailblazer cassette, Pentagram kick off a new era of international recognition led by exciting new vocalist Murat Ilkan. Anatolia (named for the Anatolian plateau, the land mass that makes up most of modern-day Turkey) is an infusion of eastern and western glories and a significant departure from the mid-level thrash of the first two albums.

  7. Mezarkabul (pentagram back then) gave signals with Anatolia album that their uniqe style of metal was coming. Most interestingly, the band performed in front of Bill Clinton and his family with a traditional Turkish folk song from this album (metal style of course) during his visit to Turkey/5(11).

  8. Perhaps the best album of "Pentagram" - quite unexpectedly shows that their musical palette has many colours, and is not monochromatic. The band is still unashamedly dragging the shoes of "Black Sabbath" and the overall tempo of the album is following the walk of arthritic dinosaur ("Swans" could have been another source of inspiration - Children of God/World of Skin, but whether we're talking.
